Tiger Devine, Arborist

Tiger Devine

Tiger has been a working arborist since 2004, beginning his career in Byron Bay, NSW Australia. During his life arboriculture has taken him to many places, including England, the U.S and ultimately Canada where he now resides and manages Devine Arboricultural Solutions, based out of East Vancouver.

Tiger is a climbing arborist, arborist consultant, industry trainer and R and D consultant. He is ISA Certified, TRAQ Certified, a Wildlife and Danger Tree Assessor, Tree Appraisal qualified amongst other local and international industry qualifications.

He is an active member within the PNWISA community where he regularly competes in climbing competitions, attends and facilitates training opportunities and gives back to the tree community where he can.

On his down time, Tiger enjoys fishing, big tree hunting, drinking a cold IPA and hiking with his family. He has a beautiful partner Meg, daughters Acacia and Maya and a dog, Gabby.

I was born and raised in Mexico City, where my love for trees began. After graduating high school in 2015, I ventured to Vancouver, Canada, to further my tree knowledge at university.

I graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Urban Forestry, and since then, I have been broadening my arboricultural knowledge and skill set through my work as an arborist and various certifications. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Ecological Restoration, bringing an international perspective to my studies and work.
